Avio Delta works in close partnership with Airborne Technologies GmbH - Austria in the field of utilization of different sensor equipments which are mounted on special certified aircraft for multiple surveillance, survey and video/movie missions, summarized as airborne remote sensing activities. The full range of available airborne sensors like Digital Metric Cameras (e.g. Vexcel Ultracam X), Laserscanners, High-Definition Video Cameras (e.g. Cineflex V14, Polytech Pixel HD), Cameras, Flouro-Sensors ect. are mounted on the multi-mission aircraft to cover a broad range of applications, as requested by the different clients.
Based on the raw data acquired by the different sensors, different final products could be provided upon request, such as:
- Digital Terrain Models for stone avalanche simulation in order to plan protecting measures (DTM);
- DTMs for flood inundation mapping in order to plan evacuations or dam systems;
- 3D City models for infrastructure planning and anti terror measurements;
- Digital Surface Models (DSM) - enabling measurements of snow depths and so allow avalanche forecasting as well as glacier fluctuations;
- Hyperspectral mapping (HSM) for definition of forest stand parameters and tree growth estimation;
- Information, provided by HSM, about vegetation health condition and environmental pollution;
- Information for mining by detection of raw materials such as ores, coal,...;
- Oil or gas pipelines leakage detection;
- Thermal sensors enable mapping of forest fire which is a powerful tool to coordinate ground forces and locating areas prone to forest fires;
- Thermal sensors is able to find defects in power lines and isolators;
- Illegal border crossing can be detected by patrolling with high definition day light and thermal sensors;
- Thermal sensors combined with high definition cameras are essential for homeland security and police operations;
